德國哈雷網球草地賽，男單決賽中，頭號種子費德勒（Roger Federer）首盤挽救2個盤末點，以7-6(1)、6-4力克塞皮（Andreas Seppi），職業生涯裡第8次在哈雷賽奪冠。
費德勒和義大利名將塞皮之前交手，取得11勝1負的絕對領先。
在這場決賽中，費德勒除了發出14個ACES球外，並挽救全部4個破發點。
「我認為我在搶七中的表現很好。」費德勒說，「我的發球很不錯，這也是草地比賽中你必須做到的。也因此我能夠發揮戰術組合，所以在搶七的時候為自己奠定了優勢。我的對手不是很清楚我的發球會發向哪裡，即使他知道球的落點，那對他來說也是很難防守的。我認為這周我的表現很出色。」
在第八次贏得下哈雷站的冠軍後，費德勒也成為了公開賽年代以後，第三位在一項比賽中有八次奪冠經歷的球員。值得一提的是，這也是費德勒本賽季繼布里斯班、杜拜、伊斯坦堡後，拿下的第四個巡迴賽的冠軍。也是草地賽事的第15冠。
「這對我來說是每秒的一周，」塞皮說，「這是我第一場ATP500級別巡迴賽的決賽，我在第一盤的時候曾有機會，並且拿到了兩個盤點，雖然未能拿下，但我開心自己打出高水準。同時，也祝賀羅傑（費德勒）又贏得一個哈雷冠軍。在關鍵的時刻，他的發球狀態提升了。」
